Scott Sheridan - Research Associate
Impacts of temperature extremes on human health,
development of Heat Watch-Warning Systems

Scott’s research addresses the study of temperature extremes on human health. He is Associate Professor in the Dept. of Geography at Kent State University. He has participated in the development and implementation of more than 30 heat-health watch-warning systems around the world, and has studied heat's effects in rural areas, human perception of heat warnings, and potential human health hazards of a hotter world.
